2023 NSF and NASA EPSCoR Research Fellowships: What You Need to Know
What is the goal?
To provide opportunities for non-tenured AND tenured investigators to develop their individual research potential through extended collaborative visits to the Nation’s premier private, governmental, or academic research centers. Only investigators from research universities and primarily undergraduate institutions in EPSCoR states (including NM) are eligible to apply.
What’s new in 2023?
Changes impacting both Tracks:
- Non-tenured and tenured Assistant and Associate professor ranks (or equivalent ranks) can serve as PI
- The number of proposals per institution has been increased from three to four
- Previous budgetary limitations on travel and other direct costs have been removed
- Travel funds can be allocated for the host collaborator
- There is now a minimum duration of one month for extended or periodic collaborative visits to the selected host site
Changes only impacting the NASA Track:
- RII Track-4:FAST has been changed to RII Track-4:@NASA
- All NASA Centers* are now eligible to participate
