You are invited to join the office of U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich and Arrowhead Center for a workshop at New Mexico State University dedicated to learning how to write a federal grant application.
This workshop will provide instruction on the process of writing a federal grant application or proposal. Information will be provided by Rita O’Connell, a member of Senator Heinrich’s staff. Rita was a professional grant writer for over a decade, raising and managing millions in federal, state, and private grant funds. She holds a Master’s in Public Advocacy and is an adjunct faculty member at the University of New Mexico-Taos.
In addition, there will be remarks and a presentation on local resources for economic development provided by the Arrowhead Center.
This workshop will include sessions on the following topics:
- Exploring Federal Opportunities and Getting Started
- Pre-Writing and Planning
- Developing a Project Budget
- Communication and Writing Discipline
- Exploring Local Resources
Limited space is available, so please register. Registration will close when full. We ask that all in-person visitors be fully vaccinated or have proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the workshop.
