Description: Learn how to enact dynamic public speaking skills to engage your audience and effectively talk about your research. Doing an oral presentation at a conference doesn't have to be scary or boring! In this one hour interactive workshop, ABQ TEDx coach Angie Alley will share simple public speaking hacks that will take your research presentations to the next level.
Bio: Angie completed her master's degree in Speech Communication from Colorado State University and began the best career journey of her life. She started teaching at Colorado State University in Communication. In 2007, she moved to Johnson & Wales University in Denver, where she was an Instructor, and the Director of the Welcome Center. In 2012, Angie joined the CNM family as a full-time Communication Instructor and is now Associate Dean of the School of Liberal Arts. Outside the classroom, Angie can be found on stage; she performs in musicals and is a speaker coach for TEDxABQ. She is also an avid tennis player! Angie is happily married to her husband, Morgan, and together they parent their beloved toy poodle, Archie.
