No matter what job you have in life, your success will be determined 5% by your academic credentials, 15% by your professional experiences, and 80% by your communication skills.-- Stephen Wang This workshop, led by Dr. Jovana Milosavljevic Ardeljan, will equip participants with strategies to clearly and effectively present their research/work to wide range of audiences using the Three Minute Thesis format. In the workshop, you will learn:
- The importance of communication skills.
- What is Three Minute Thesis and what do you get from it.
- The key elements of a Three Minute Thesis talk.
- The key elements of a Three Minute Thesis slide.
Bio: Dr. Jovana Milosavljevic Ardeljan is a post-doctoral fellow at the University of New Hampshire. Both her academic research and her professional role in the UNH Graduate School center on supporting communication skill development for graduate students and post-docs to help them prepare for diverse career pathways. Dr. Milosavljevic Ardeljan designs and delivers professional development programs that train graduate students to use both written and oral communication to translate their academic research into meaningful real-world applications.
